Are you interested in learning more about Siemens STEM professional development programs? Get ready to apply to two free opportunities for STEM educators this summer: Siemens Teachers as Researchers (STARs) and Siemens STEM Institute. The Siemens STEM Institute is a week of STEM immersion for fifty educators at Discovery's headquarters outside Washington, D.C., including field trips, guest speakers and more. STARs is a program during which twenty Fellows are selected to work hands-on with scientists and researchers for two weeks at Oak Ridge National Lab in Tennessee.
Over the course of the webinar you will learn about the unique features of each of these programs, have the chance to ask questions from experts and even hear from past fellows. You'll walk away with everything you need to know to get started on your applications!

If you are even considering applying for a Siemens/Discovery professional development opportunity, go for it! It seemed overwhelming at first, but WOW what a difference it has made in my teaching. I have a classroom full of STEM-kids! I was given the tools to help facilitate their learning. Good luck to you.
